G&F member, Shannon Garraway, was one of the first women to own a fitness equipment business in BC. She has spent 24 years working her way from receptionist to business owner.

George Pitman is a successful business man, designer and builder. He got to where he is today by his own two hands, staying true to his principles of hard work and perseverance.

In the mid-80s, Steveston residents formed a society to protect the heritage of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery. They were members of G&F’s Steveston Branch, located across the street from the historic site.
