Employee feedback allows us to re-calibrate and re-focus on the priorities and initiatives that matter most to our staff. We are extremely proud of our engagement results, and have achieved a 2016 score of 87% (well above the industry benchmark of 69%) on our last employee engagement survey.

Even though our G&F colours are orange and blue, we’re a very green organization at heart. We’ve taken several measures to work towards environmental sustainability and have earned a ClimateSmart certification for our reduced carbon emissions, which we have successfully reduced since 2010.  We offer our employees several options to make sustainable and environmentally friendly choices at work, including a robust recycling program, organics composting and transit subsidies to incentivize alternative methods of commuting to and from work.

G&F Financial Group offers a competitive group benefits plan to employees and eligible dependents. Best of all, premiums are fully paid for by the employer. Our Group Benefits Plan includes MSP, Extended Health (including VisionCare), Dental, Disability (short/long term), Life Insurance and Employee and Family Assistance Program.

To help you prepare for your retirement, after one year of employment, G&F Financial Group will contribute 10.5% of your salary to your retirement plan. We have various investment options to choose from. Voluntary contribution is optional.

Vacation and care days Expand/Collapse

We recognize the value of a vacation and won’t stand in your way of taking that trip of a lifetime. At G&F Financial Group, all eligible employees enjoy a minimum of 3 weeks paid vacation, after one year of employment (first year is pro-rated). After your first year, you  receive one additional day for every year of service, until you reach a maximum of 30 days.

In addition, after 10 years of service (and every 5 years after that), you receive an anniversary gift of a ‘bonus’ week of vacation!

Charitable giving Expand/Collapse

G&F is a collaborative organization and we value the input of our employees on which charities we choose to support throughout the year. For the last several years, G&F has been supporting the United Way Lower Mainland and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.We also host an annual golf tournament that supports a new charity each year. For 2016, we support the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

Through our G&F Foundation, we encourage our employees to submit names to fundraise for the charity that personally resonates with them.
