Jennifer Albanese

Assistant Branch Manager

Jennifer Albanese is the Assistant Branch Manager at G&F’s Port Coquitlam Branch.

Jennifer followed a rather unconventional path into the financial industry. Having explored post-secondary programs in both marketing and criminology, Jennifer eventually honed in on her interests in the financial and real estate landscape and started pursuing a career as a mortgage broker. It was that decision that eventually led her to G&F.

What opportunities has G&F given you?

“I started at G&F as a Service Representative and over the years have moved to different branches and up the ranks, until I landed in my current position as an Assistant Branch Manager at our Port Coquitlam branch.”

What do you enjoy most about working for G&F Financial Group?

“G&F offers many learning opportunities to employees, allowing them to both serve our membership better, as well as grow and progress into new and more challenging roles.”

How would you describe G&F’s culture?

“G&F’s culture is empowerment and caring—both internally and externally.”

How would you sum up your experience at G&F?

When reflecting about her experience with G&F and the relationships she’s made along the way, Jennifer speaks highly of her colleagues.

“I really credit the people I work with for pushing me out of my comfort zone and helping me realize my potential.” 

What’s one piece of career advice you would give to those looking for a career as an Assistant Branch Manager?

“Never turn down an opportunity to learn and grow, even if it means taking a risk and being uncomfortable.”
