Technical Support Specialist (Temporary) – February 2013 to April 2014

Currently, we are looking to fill a key position in our Information Systems Department and are accepting applications for Technical Support Specialist (Temporary).
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the success of the Vision of G&F Financial group. The Technical Support Specialist operates as first level technical support resolution for internal customers. Coordinates help desk calls and manages issues through to completion, involving other appropriate IT Department resources, where applicable. The Technical Support Specialist assists the IT department by installing, maintaining and administering various systems and devices. Works closely with System Administrators to align G&F’s technology platform to the needs of the end users and advises users on system usage.
The successful candidate will have education to complement their experience. You will have 1 year post-secondary education in Information Technology, and a Microsoft Certification (MCSC) would be an asset, in addition to 1-3 years of related experience in a small to medium sized organization.
Experience working in a Microsoft environment administering Active Directory is required, basic experience with Microsoft server technologies and AD Group policy an asset.
Previous experience of working for a financial services environment would be an asset.
