Step 1: Applying For a Position
We encourage all applicants to apply for posted positions by visiting www.gffgcareers.ca
We will review resumes and identify the candidates whose skills and experience best fit the role.
Potential candidates will be contacted if they are short listed for an interview.
We encourage interested candidates to apply for positions that best fit your background and experience, even though the position is not currently available. All resumes will be maintained on file for one year for future reference.
Step 2: The Interview Process
If you are selected for an interview we will contact you directly.
In most cases, a candidate will be interviewed a minimum of 2 times. The interview process will vary depending on the position. You will be advised of the structure of your interview and the timelines for any subsequent interviews.
Your first interview will be over the phone and will be quite general.
Based on the results of your first interview, a second interview will be held, in person, with Human Resources and Branch Management. You may be required to complete skill assessment testing at this time.
Step 3: Making an Offer
If you’re selected as a candidate for the position, an offer of employment will be made, pending background checks, including criminal, credit and reference checks. Some positions may require additional checks or testing prior to your start date, in which case you will be advised.
All interviewed candidates will be contacted and advised of the hiring decision.
